This is the only CPA in Mendocino, which is a lovely small town on the northern California coast 150 miles north of San Francisco. The town is a tourist destination, with quite a few hotels, B&Bs, restaurants, etc., as well as many retail stores. Many of the clients are retail or service businesses, or retired former owners of such. Approximately 20% of the clients are out-of-town. The practice has declined in volume over the last few years both because of the economy, and even more because the owner's energy level has declined.
